The average head size for a man is 58cms in European Sizing or 7 1/8 UK Sizing and 7 1/4 US Sizing. Possibly the largest head for a man would be 64cm and the smallest 51cms, and 55cms is the average head size for a lady.

Head sizes and shapes differ from country to country with the smallest heads often being found in the Far Eastern countries and the largest found in Germany. The shape of the head can vary from being very round or oval, usually the eastern countries have rounder heads whilst the European countries have a more oval shaped head.

How to measure your head

Take a tape measure and place it around the circumference of the head, just above the ears and eyebrows.
